"Small steps towards the citizenship of tomorrow"
CEA - eu Citizenship
We often think of European citizenship as an abstract concept, tied to distant treaties and institutions. However, the values that underpin it—peace, solidarity, respect for diversity, and care for the environment—are the same ones we teach our children every day to help them become happy and collaborative adults.
We created this project to meet an educational challenge: translating the great European ideals into a language of gestures, colors, and games. We believe it's never too early to instill a sense of belonging to a broader community. We want children to perceive Europe not as a geography lesson, but as a safe and welcoming "Big Home," where diversity is not a barrier, but a source of enrichment.
THE PROJECT

The program aims to develop transversal skills that support children's civic, social, and emotional development:
Educate for Peace and Coexistence: Transmit the history of European integration as a success story of friendship in the face of conflict.
Promote Active Citizenship: Make children aware that their small actions (such as recycling or saving energy) have value for the entire European community.
Enhance Cultural Diversity: Inspire children's curiosity about different languages, flavors, and traditions, combating prejudices before they arise.
Introduce the Concept of Shared Rules: Make them understand that living together requires "golden rules" and supportive figures (institutions) that work for everyone's well-being.

The project is entirely tailored to preschool (children aged 3 to 6).
Each activity has been designed to reflect the cognitive and emotional developmental stages of this age group:
Sensory Approach: We use colors, sounds, and flavours to consolidate concepts.
Playful Method: Role-playing and storytelling are the driving forces of learning.
Analogical Simplification: We transform learning into an emotional and social experience that fosters a deep understanding of the concepts of participation and civic coexistence.
THE PROJECT PHASES
To make learning organic, the project is divided into five operational blocks.
